How QuantizePay handles your information at checkout

Last updated 26 September 2026

Who we are

The payment form you are using is operated by QNTZ Pty Ltd (ABN 59 697 091 302), trading as QuantizePay. We are not the business you are buying from. That business chose to use our checkout, and we run it for them. You can reach us at [email protected].

Why you are seeing this. You may not realise a second company is involved in this page. We collect information about you when you use the checkout, so this explains what we collect, why, who receives it and how long we keep it.

What we collect, and why

To take your payment for the merchant.

  • Your name and email address, and — where the purchase needs it — your billing or delivery address and phone number.
  • The items, prices and currency.
  • Your IP address, the country it resolves to, and your browser's user-agent string.
  • The page the checkout was opened on, the page you arrived from, and any tracking parameters in the web address (for example utm_source).
  • A random visitor number stored in a cookie named __qntz_vid on the merchant's website. It contains nothing about you — it only lets us recognise the same browser when you come back, for up to 30 days after you last visited a page with that merchant's checkout on it. While you keep coming back, it may never run out. It is set separately for each merchant, so it cannot follow you between different shops.

We never see or store your card number, expiry date or security code. Those are typed into a form served directly by our payment provider, inside its own frame, which we cannot read.

To measure and improve our checkout. This purpose is ours, not the merchant's. Against the visitor number and the checkout session we record:

  • How far you got — opened the checkout, started entering your details, submitted them, reached the payment step, submitted payment, payment succeeded.
  • What happened along the way — whether a promotional code or gift card was tried, whether an optional extra was shown, looked at, added or removed, whether a digital wallet was offered or chosen, whether you began entering a billing address or card details, and whether a payment was declined.
  • Context — which checkout design and step you were on, how long each step took, and your device type.

We record that each of these happened. We do not record what you type into any field, and we do not record or replay your screen, your mouse movements or your keystrokes.

We are not required by law to collect any of this to measure our checkout. We do it to understand where our checkout works badly and to fix it.

If the merchant has switched on advertising measurement. Some merchants do. Where they have, and where their own cookie banner allows it, we also read advertising cookies set on their site by Meta and Google, and send a scrambled (hashed) form of your email address to those companies so a purchase can be matched to an advertisement. The merchant decides whether this happens and is the one who asks for your consent — not us.

Your choices

  • Advertising measurement is controlled by the merchant's own cookie banner, where they use one.
  • The information needed to take your payment is not optional — without it the purchase cannot be completed.
  • The usage information described above is collected on every checkout and cannot be declined separately. It is deleted automatically after 30 days.

Access, correction and deletion

Email [email protected]. We do not hold your name against these records — they are keyed to the random visitor number — so to find them we need the shop you bought from and either the email address or the order number you used. We will respond within 30 days.

Two limits worth knowing. If you did not get as far as entering your email address, we have nothing that can be matched to you and cannot locate the record. And the checkout session record is deleted automatically 30 days after it is created, so most requests are already satisfied by the time they reach us.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information or your request, email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
